The third generation of 808 – the 808.3 Signature Reference CD Player – offers CD
playback from a specially built custom CD-ROM based drive, which allows for data recovery
and error correction many times better than that employed in standard CD systems. It also
offers triple FIFO buffering and employs Meridian’s proprietary DSP based ‘apodising’ upsampling
system. Combined, these features help CDs sound as if replay is at a highresolution,
and can even fix errors in the original recording.

Since its first appearance in 1998, the Meridian 861 Reference Digital Surround Controller
has consistently offered the industry’s highest standard in surround processing and system
control while its modular architecture has allowed each unit to be individually specified and
manufactured to meet its owner’s exacting requirements.
Now in its sixth generation, the 861 V6 incorporates SpeakerLink output connectivity for up
to eight channels of Meridian DSP Loudspeakers and an eight-channel MMHR input as
standard features. The 861 V6 also includes a number of other connectivity and

Media Core 600 – The Supersystem

Within Media Core 600 is a pair of hard drive bays, each fitted with 2TB drives configured as a RAID 1 array with automatic mirrored backup. Control 15 – Sooloos all-in-one System

Control 15 embodies all three of the functions needed to create a complete Meridian Sooloos system in a single unit – storage, playback & control. Control 15 will store the equivalent of up to about 1000 CD albums in FLAC format, thanks to its internal 500GB hard drive. If additional Meridian Sooloos products with hard-disk storage are available on the network, Control 15 will share these resources for storage, and render audio from them.

A Compact Disc drive is included in the Control 15, allowing music to be loaded on to the system direct from CD. Media can also be added via the Control PC and Control Mac applications from disc or via online downloads. Control 15 features an audio output design which includes the very best of Meridian’s experience with digital sound. Digital signal processing provides the full range of digital audio features for which Meridian is renowned, such as upsampling for enhanced audio performance and an ultra-low-jitter clocking system for superior stereo imaging and digital audio performance.
 

Media Core 200 – The Compact System

Media Core 200 is an elegant, compact and virtually silent Meridian Sooloos Digital Media System that requires only your choice of controller to bring it to life. It can be operated by any of the network-based control systems available, including the iPad or iPhone App, a computer running the Control PC or Control Mac application, or a Meridian Sooloos controller such as the Control 15. At the heart of the Media Core 200 is a 500GB hard drive, storing around 1,000 CD albums in pristine lossless quality for graphical and touch-screen access via the award-winning Sooloos interface.
The Media Core 200 provides a single audio zone which is available digitally via Meridian SpeakerLink and S/PDIF and also via analogue outputs delivering fixed 2V peak-to-peak or variable output levels. It can thus easily be connected with a single SpeakerLink cable to a Meridian audio system, or via any standard stereo input on a conventional analogue or digital system.
